I'm a mum of three young children, so I've relied on our amazing NHS many times, and I believe the NHS should always be there for you family too. Which is why I support the Conservative's commitment to make Health our top spending priority. I will continue to champion the NHS locally to make sure that the NHS' biggest ever cash boost of £33.9bn helps our community.
I know from talking to people on the doorstep that there is concern about getting to see a GP when you need to. The Conservative party are committed to creating 50 million more appointments in GP surgeries. It is a good start that we have a record number of GPs in training, and we will deliver an extra 500 GPs every year from 2021-22 so that by 2024-25 we project there will be almost 3,000 additional doctors working and training in General Practice from this expansion.
